Mission Statement

OUR MISSION……..is to serve the patient & physician community of the South Sound region by providing the finest possible diagnostic imaging services in a caring and compassionate atmosphere provided by dedicated and skilled professionals who strive to go above and beyond expectations.

Our Staff
Dr Patten Chief Radiologist	I am a diagnostic radiologist licensed to practice medicine in Washington. I specialize in Radiology and have been certified by the American Board of Radiology in this specialty since 1985. Following completion of a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, San Diego in 1985, I completed a fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Ultrasound/Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging between 1985 and 1986. I have taught Radiology as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at University of Washington School of Medicine and as a Professor of Radiology at University of Colorado School of Medicine. I am on the active medical staff at Providence St. Peter Hospital. I am a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, Pacific Northwest Radiological Society, American College of Radiology, Washington State Medical Society and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine where I obtained senior membership status in 1998 having previously served as the president of the Washington chapter. I have served as a manuscript and book reviewer for eight journals and books including the American Journal of Radiology, Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, Radiology and Radiographics. I am a Board Examiner for the American Board of Radiology in Ultrasound. I have published forty-six peer reviewed articles, forty-nine abstracts and eight book chapters in the field of Radiology. Denise Burke, R.T. (R) (M) (CT) Clinical Services Supervisor	Denise joined Northwest Radiology Group in September of 2006 and has taken our clinical services department to the highest standard of providing compassionate and prompt patient care. She is a certified technologist in X-Ray, Mammography, CT and is currently working to become certified in MRI. She is responsible for the overall workflow of each modality and provides an atmosphere of communication and teamwork within the Northwest Radiology Group team. She and her family live in West Olympia and enjoy sports, movies and family nights at Chuck-E-Cheese. Yvonne Byers, (CPT) Financial Services Supervisor	Yvonne joined Northwest Radiology Group over 4 years ago as one of our valuable coders and has moved up the ranks to lead our financial services and office efforts. She supervises our front desk, billing office and transcription services office. She has become a valuable member of our team. Cheryl Thyberg Community Relations Coordinator	A long time member of the Northwest Radiology Group team and Olympia community, Cheryl has been newly appointed as our Community Relations Coordinator and will be out and about in the community meeting physicians and patients. Her main focus will be on helping the medical and lay community of the Metropolitan Olympia area to learn what Northwest Radiology Group has to offer and that our main focus is patient care. She and her husband have two wonderful kid's in college and will earn lots of frequent flyer miles visiting them.
